A bit of history...

Visalia Safes, located in Visalia, California, and owned by Jim Carnes. Jim started Visalia Safes 20 years ago with one goal in mind.

It's really pretty simple, huh?

Jim was working for a safe company and was not satisfied with what was being sold. He had an opportunity to start his own company, but after working there, he really wanted to simply run the company his way. He worked with the owner and eventually took over the company.

Once he owned the company, he began to seek out the best materials and started working towards building precise, secure safes.

Jim didn't want to turn the company into a gigantic operation and lose control of the safe building processes. Instead, Jim took the road less traveled and continued to refine the safe building process and getting dedicated, hard working craftsmen to build the safes.

Jim continues to come to the office most days, but over the years Jim has carefully groomed and trained a couple who now run t he day-to-day operations for Jim. Still located in the same building, they are a small operation, but amazingly they build and deliver 900+ safes a year.

Leonard & Jackie have continued running Visalia Safes the same way Jim started out - with precision and high quality. They have not fallen into the temptation of farming out the work, the materials or or even reselling safes made outside of the US.

No, Visalia Safes is an AMERICAN company and they plan to keep it that way.
