Have we told you about our safe that was dropped at 65MPH?
On a trip to a gun show our truck was cut off on the freeway, forcing us to swerve out of the way.
The swerve was so severe that it caused one of our safes to break free from the trailer and flip right onto the free at FULL SPEED!
The safe bounced and tumbled, eventually landing on its door, sliding along the highway.
Though the lock was ground down a bit, we were able to get the safe onto the trailer and back to the shop.
Upon return, we took the safe in for a full inspection.
It is "safe" to say that we found no other damage to the safe other than the lock and the paint ! The door worked flawlessly. The shape of the safe was not altered. The door hinge was perfect.
What can we say? We have always built our safes to be durable, strong and nearly indestructible. The "freeway drop" was yet another testament to how overbuilt these safes really are - WAY!
We don't recommend taking your safe out for a spin down the freeway and shoving it off into traffic, but if for some reason you do, rest assured, it will survive!
